I am absolutely thrilled to be getting my brand new S3 on Saturday. I want to have some fun exploring it and all its features. To help me celebrate and to get the most out of my new phone can anyone suggest what are the must have apps?
Oh and on a more serious note, i have saved some texts on my old phone for legal reasons. How do i transfer them to my new mobile as I want to flog the old phone!!

I use SMS Backup+ which is ideal for me as it links directly into my GMail account as a seperate label under the inbox.

As Mi5 said its a personal preference, the three I use the most are BBC news, Sky sports News and Met office.
I forgot whatsapp, this is a must have.

My Data Manager - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobidia.android.mdm
Lookout Security - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout
And just for fun how about this live wallpaper? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jetblacksoftware.xmastreewallpaperfree&feature=mor...

I can never understand why people insist on adding extra apps to their Android phone to perform tasks their handset already handles!
Juice defender/battery monitor/power monitor/advanced task killer etc......
Extra memory used, extra battery - defeats the object surely?
I think some Android users have caught i-phone-itis, ie/ "there's an app for that"!!
