Gallery empty and camera stopped working on Galaxy S2

I don't know if anyone can help. Today I took some photos and all was fine. Went to take another and the camera won't work. My gallery says there are no items to be shown, and the music I have saved on my phone won't play. Tried turning off and on again and taken battery out and put back in. Any ideas? I would be very grateful

Sounds like your SD card has become unmounted. Do you have a removable sd card or is it saved to the internal storage?

The only chance you have is to reboot into recovery mode (hold Vol Up + Home + Power) Let go of the buttons when you see the splash screen. Then use the volume keys to move to "Mount internal storage" (hopefully your recovery has this option) and press the power key, then reboot the phone. If this is not available or does not work it will need a repair under warranty.

No, you are just trying to get the phone to see your storage. Just don't format anything, however, if you don't have it backed up you could loose it all if it can't be mounted.....
