Galaxy S2 4.1.2 new O2 update

Anonymous
Not applicable

Did anyone else receive this new OTA update this morning.  I flashed my P variant phone with the standard O2 jelly bean firmware using Odin, but today received an OTA update.  Anyone know what the new features/improvements are?

Build: JZ054K.I9100XWLSW

Baseband: I9100XXMS2

Still 4.1.2

Sorry you must have misunderstood me, that link relates to an article on jelly bean, I'm aware of what changes it brought.  My question relates to the changes in the 2nd jelly bean update.  Thanks for your reply though.

You mention that you'd originally flashed with the original O2 release of JB for the P model, but that's not yet been released, unless all go as of today (which will make many, many people happy).  Currently XWLSW is the latest for the standard S2, so if O2 are now pushing this flavour out for the P then hurrah!

Did you figure this out Glen? I have the same. I am already on 4.1.2 and wonder what the changes are.

Also has anyone applied this? Is it like a version change update where you have to recreate your homescreens, repair bluetooth devices etc ir is it mire seamless than that?

Jonty, when I said I installed the standard jellybean O2 firmware on my P variant, I meant the standard non NFC O2 frmware, sorry for the confusion.

Just updated and my non NFC phone is now showing XWLSW, not sure what it was before the update but pleasantly surprised that O2 have given us the latest software as I thought we'd seen the last of any updates on the SGS2.

Was it a seamless upgrade as you were already on 4.1.2 or the same as a usual upgrade (recreate screens, bluetooth pairing lost etc)?
