I was wondering whether or not any of you have gotten the 4.2 update?

If so when did you get it?

That's what I thought, but I haven't so I was wondering if it was an issue with my phone or just a general issue

OK is your Nexus from o2 or Google Play?? If it's from Google Play it has been out for a while and if it's from o2 called "yakju" version that started being pushed out yesterday. So you can try now and see if it's there and if not you can also force it through on your phone. Let us know.

I bought it from o2. I tried force quitting the framework services and then clearing the data and then checking for the update but that has yet to work

That does not make any sense at all as no matter where you look the update has now been pushed out to all Galaxy Nexus versions. o2 does not mess with the up date on your nexus do they?

I got the update this afternoon after clearing the framework services, and then checking for the update

Great news, You need to do the same again as yesterday 4.2.1 update came out, it dropped to me this time yesterday.

I am really jealous! I'm still on 4.1.1 on sg3. My gf has a nexus and got a notification for 4.2 today. Tempted to get one of them instead, they're half the price and get the updates before anybody else.

You sure it was 4.2? as 4.2.1 has rolled out from yesterday. All Nexus devices do as they are as near to Pure Android OS than any other phone/tablet et al. Yes it is great when a buzz goes around of an update coming and then in a few days it's there. I'm waiting for Jelly Bean on my Tab2 but have already had 2 updates on My Nexus lol
