Galaxy Ace says charging and then won't turn on

Hi All,

Can't seem to find a solution online, so trying on here. I've not installed any new apps recently (apart fron Angry Birds last week).

Anyway, the phone says it fully charges, then 30 mins later it turns itself off. When I try and turn it back on it says no battery. When it is on for the time after charging it still says its charging. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Rob

I think ultimately this is a hardware issue, so it will need to go in for repair, however, tech support will ask you to do a factory reset first to rule out any OS conflicts, so you may as well try it and then if no good approach Samsung. They will usually send you a jiffy bag to send it in to their service centre.

Hi,

Thanks for the really quick reply. I was just about to come back and say I've factory restored it, and it seems to be working... for now! I've had the phone just over a year, and the issue has happened with no prior warning, kinda odd, but then I guess that's technology for you!

Cheers,

Rob
