I had a replacement phone 2 days ago as mine broke. Its a huawei p30 pro. I am using original charger however it doesn't fast charge, it is meant to fast charge as default. Charger isn't damaged and is the original one, why is this new device not fast charging?

It's in the device or battery settings, depending on which level of firmware is installed.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Device Care.
  3. Tap Battery.
  4. Tap the three-dot menu and Settings.
  5. Tap to turn the switch on next to "Fast cable charging."

You should be able to turn fast charging on and off in settings.

You shoud not always use fast charging as it will degrade the battery quicker.

I can't find any settings to do this? My old phone, same one, just automatically fast charged. Do you know how I would do this?

I dont think any of the new phone's have the ability to turn off fast charge nowadays.

Fast charge doesn't degrade the battery faster, it's a myth...

I would contact Huawei support and ask them
