O2 doesn’t support normal delivery reports.
You need to type *0# at the start of each message to get a confirmation of delivery.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@O2Emma may be able to investigate for you @Wheelie

Hi @MI5 and @Wheelie this all the information we have regarding sms delivery reports.

If you type *0# at the beginning of the text message the network will send a text message back to the sender once the recipient has received the message (not read the message).

The text message will contain:
• The mobile number that the text message was delivered to.
• Date and time of receipt.
• The first few characters of the message

The delivery report service is free of charge.

However, as it is dependent on the O2 network and not the handset, notification can not be 100% guaranteed.

Thanks

Interesting. Don't usually bother with delivery reports but the code worked here on an S22 using Google Messages.

Hopefully Emma will be able to help

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Hi @O2Emma,

*0# Is no longer being recognised by the network and is being sent to recipients, is this something that is supposed to happen or is it a bug?
