Dead phone - Samsung Galaxy - HELP!

Anonymous
Not applicable

Had a bit of trouble recently with my phone closing down overnight and losing some of it's settings.  Only did it a couple of times and I didn't worry too much, maybe I should have done though.

My phone will not boot up at all,  know it isn't the battery as it's fully charged.  I turn it on and get the sound and boot screen but then it just goes straight off again.

Any ideas or am I going to have to scrap it and start again?  Hope not as I like my phone and have nearly a year left on the contract.

You could try getting it repaired as it should be under guarantee, either O2 or Samsung can advise you.

Try a factory reset first (Hold Vol UP + Home + Power). Let go when you see the android appear on screen, then choose clear cache with vol down and execute with power key then clear data/factory reset. See if phone will reboot after this. If not you could flash the FW with Odin or take it back for repair. I'd advise going to Samsung rather than O2 as they will probably say it's water damaged and not covered by warranty......
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
