Can't access free wi-fi

Anonymous
Not applicable

I regularly visit Costa Coffee and am a member of their club. They offer free O2 wi-fi in their coffee shops. It's automatic. Except for me and my Samsung A5, it seems! Does anyone else have a problem accessing free wi-fi? Costa can't explain it, just refer me to O2.

Try texting "WIFI" to 2121 from your phone to reset your connection.

http://o2wifi.co.uk/

Or

  1. On your Android phone or tablet go to Menu > Settings > Wireless and network.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi settings and tick the wifi check box. Your phone will search for wifi networks.
  3. Tap O2 Wifi to connect to it.
  4. Open your browser. When you try to browse the web you'll go to sign-up page.

Yes, it's very often problematic.

Thanks. I do all that - don't get the connection to use the browser, or get the connection but the browser won't take me anywhere. I'll try the texting suggestion next.

Hello Martin - I got your email today with this question and have emailed back. No, no luck at all accessing your free wi-fi at hotspots. So all a waste of time so far for me - any suggestions or help welcome please!
