BROWSER PAGE NOT AVAILABLE HTC SALSA AND O2 BROADBAND

ive now managed to connect my HTC Salsa fone to my home o2 broadband by using a static ip address (info found on web) . When I click on interenet it tried to connect to google but error of web page not availabe comes up and when i try to load ebay/facebook app it loads says updating then network error comes up.  Any help would be appreciated and thank you to the person who responded to my other thread

Sounds like the wrong gateway in your static ip settings. Can you not connect with dynamic DNS?

THE GATEWAY I HAVE IS 192.168.1.1 AND SORRY IM NOT TOO TECHNICAL HOW CAN I CONNECT WITH THE DNS - IVE ALSO TRIED TO CONNECT AT TESCO WIFI AND HAD THE SAME ISSUE - WOULD THAT BE TO DO WITH WRONG GATEWAY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS

With Tesco wifi you have to open your browser and log in with your clubcard number. Did you do that and still not able to connect? Need to see if it's a phone or router issue....?
