Any obvious reason for HTC Wildfire not to download the O2 wifi App
I can get to the page with the App & the install button but using the button doesn't seem to do anything
Wifi is apparently working OK as I can get to internet pages and also download mail
amy thoughts plase?

Thanks to all for the helpful replies
I found the answer ~misplaced operator presumption as to what was actually loaded on the phone ~as in I hadn't got the play store app
I'd been using a Galaxy Tab 3 just previously where play store came ready installed
Have downloaded that and succesfully loaded acrobat reader from play sore that works as I can read a PDF attachment to an email
Thanks again

You don't need the app to use O2 Wi-Fi, you can sign up at any O2 hotspot:
http://www.o2.co.uk/coverage/o2wifi
It should work on Android 2.2 and upwards though.

Try turning wifi off and downloading on mobile data.
Edit. If your wildfire is still running 2.1 it won't install.....

HTC Sync did but haven't had any reason to download anything else so not sure of the answer to that

Not certain although it has had two system updates in the past week
Also not fully certain how to check
Is there any choice as to what it could have on O2's pay & go
(it's a recycled one that has been network unlocked from Orange)
