go to SETTINGS

scroll down till u get to ABOUT PHONE

click this

at the top you will see, UPDATE, click it

....alternatively go to your pc/lappy and turn it on, wait for it to load.

making sure your phone is on and NOT in lock screen, connect it to ur pc. if KIES doesnt auto load... go to START and select it from there.

on the fron screen when its all loaded (if it doesnt ask for an update for kies) u will see it says: software upto date or it will try to do an update to your handset

****VERY IMPORTANT******

no matter how your phone gets updated, NEVER interupt the update. let it do its stuff and wait UNTIL u r told that the update is finished.

Thanks for the reply...however i've already tried going to settings and about phone loads of times over the past few months and it always says no updates available. My auto update is on too can't understand why I don't recieve messages. Unfortunately I don't have access to a laptop/computer at the moment.

NFC is for Near Field Communications where you can load a debit or credit card into an application on your phone to make payments up to £20 without a pin by touching your phone to a reader or another NFC enabled phone.
