I've just updated my Sony phone with the latest android version. It's now started rebooting several times a day, sometimes in mid conversation. It's also hard to wake up the screen, you need to keep pushing the power button for 10 seconds. Any ideas how to fix especially the powering down problem? Thanks

At this point I'd be backing up and software reinstalling using Xperia companion.

Yeah, sounds like some conflict is occurring causing the restart.
Battery drain is down to software trying to cope with said conflict but can't hack it.
If the factory reset and reinstall doesn't clear it then get on to Sony customer services, but the first thing they will ask is have you done the reset...

Took the phone into O2 Brighton store and did a factory reset. Just loaded all the data and accounts back on..and its started rebooting itself again...any other thoughts please as factory reset didn't do it.

The only other thing you can do is to contact Sony customer support to see if they can do a repair.

Hey @Paulrobins93 , it would be great to hear how you get on with this and if you managed to sort it out finally with Sony customer support?

Thanks everyone for the detailed troubleshooting above. slight_smile thumbsup
