Activate plastic sim card and deactivate e sim card

Help please!!

I had a google pixel 3a with esim activated on my phone.A week ago the phone stopped working properly and I am waiting for a new replacement in next few weeks.

Now, the temporary phone I have do not take Esim and I do have a plastic sim card for the same number.

I inserted that and clearly see that it is no longer active.Is there anyway this plastic sim with same number could be activated?Please see due to Covid 19 situation phone customer support is of no help.Any pointers in this would be really appreciated.

You need to call customer services to have the plastic sim card re activated.
