9515 s4 can't play bbc sport app or iplayer videos after 5.01 update.

Apparently a known andriod 5 bug as the baseband version is too low. Bbc say baseband version needs to end in 7 or higher to work. Other none bbc vids do work.

Any chance an update or patch?

Also if the power save mode is on now you only seem to have 2 seconds to type the lock code on. I think this was overridden on the 4.4.2 version. Please can it be overidden again? As its an s4 so i need to have power saving on like, all the time.....

The value edition S4 is behind the normal S4 (which has the fix).
I can only suggest @Chris_K may have more info for you?

Surely it's up to app devs to make their product meet the hardware, not the other way around?

Either way, it always seems to be the iplayer that has an issue.

It was the same with SkyGo and KK.
It took Sky months to get it compatible.

I agree, it's up to the app developers to make it compatible not Samsung or the networks.

No arguments from me but the question was when will the VE S4 get the update to the same fw as the standard S4 so that it will work.
I can't see the BBC developing something special for one, low sales device.
