02 Unlatch code not working

Hi - I have received my unlatch code today to unlatch my phone from 02, so I can use a non 02 SIM.  Unfortunately the code is still not allowing me to unlatch.  I've tried the code twice already, don't want to lock it up completely by tring again.

 

It's a Sony Xperia if it makes any difference.

 

Any ideas please?

Assuming we have all the facts, it must have been supplied hard locked by O2 then?

It should not have been though....
You'll have to wait and see what @EmilieT comes back with now.

@Simmoderby I'm sorry you feel like we're not helping right now! Just to update you, our gurus tried calling you on Friday and left you a voicemail: they are in touch with Sony and will update you and me both as soon as they have more info slight_smile

I've managed to borrow a handset from a friend - but only just got it.

 

I've had a voicemail left by Hamilton reference unlocking the handset - but only picked this up this morning as the message was left on my mobile, which I had no access to for calls until now.

 

Looking forward to getting a satisfactory outcome very soon!

Hi Emilie - is there any news from the Gurus and Sony - it's been over a week now, and if I hadn't been able to borrow a handset (which I would like to be able to return very soon.....) then I would have had no means of communication at all.

Not a happy ex-customer at all at the moment...…

I've also gone through the 02 Complaints route, and am not getting any joy there either.

@Simmoderby As you've put a complaint through, the Complaints team will be the one to update you from now on. Once something sits with the Complaints team the gurus cannot help anymore I'm afraid, so I have no more visibility on the progress of your issue unfortunately.
