Hi - I have received my unlatch code today to unlatch my phone from 02, so I can use a non 02 SIM.  Unfortunately the code is still not allowing me to unlatch.  I've tried the code twice already, don't want to lock it up completely by tring again.

It's a Sony Xperia if it makes any difference.

Any ideas please?

@Simmoderby

Are you sure you have the correct type of code?

Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card

If you have followed the above process I'll ask @EmilieT to help.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@Simmoderby Have you tried a non-O2 sim in the phone? It may already be unlocked.

I have been sent a 16 digit numerical code, which isn't working.  My phone only gives me the option to enter numbers, not letters............. ???

Stop entering the code!!!

Entering an incorrect code more than 5 times will hard lock it

@Simmoderby

If you have entered it more than 5 times then O2 won't be able to help unfortunately.

Had this happen myself some years ago with another provider and ended up having to buy a new handset.
