hi all

Iam riding my bicycle accross mexico shortly, if i use whatsapp, from a wi-fi connection is say a cafe, with my data roaming turned off, would i be charged the £4.99 per day thru travel02.  £4.99 seems excessive, to make one or 2 calls to my family a day

42 days x £4.99, well over £200, any suggestions!

Hi @Anonymous If you use Wifi all the time when abroad you wont incur charges..

You may also want to consider TuGo as another option http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

I use that all the time whilst abroad

No, just keep you phone in airplane mode to make sure you can only use wifi and there won't be any charges.
