Anyone know when we get the jellybean update for original note?

First confirm that your phone is unlocked, ie try a Voda/Orange SIM in it and if it works just flash with Odin (which is what Kies does but without the user interface). No chance of bricking if you follow the instructions correctly.

Samsung have started to roll it out. Not seen anything for UK yet though. Are you on O2 firmware or generic Samsung?

Not totally sure but when mine loads up I get the O2 logo....oh and I got mine through o2

Dial *#1234# and look at your CSC. If it has "O2U" then you are O2 branded, if not you are free....
