can't send text messages even though I've downloaded the settings

Got new sim and had existing number transfered onto new sim and downloaded settings but can't send or receive texts messages

How long was the transfer as it needs a full 24 hours to complete fully.
You may also have the wrong type of SIM card so check your message centre number.

also try turning the phone off and on again @Anonymous to make sure the new sim is fully registered on the network.
can you make and receive calls or is that not working either?
