Xperia Z3 static screen

Is anyone else having this issue with their Z3? I have noticed on the sony forums that quite a few people are having this particular problem where the phone will show colourful static for a split second or sometimes even longer (2 seconds on mine at one point). It usually happens when using the camera or watching video.

ok, been blasting my phone over the last few days, especially with video recording and photos. Not a single static glitch has occurred.

 

My original was definitely broken and is not a firmware/software glitch.

 

Thanks for all the advice, I cant say how happy I am with the Z3 now.

I don't own or use that phone but am still very interested in this issue.

Has Sony said anything official or was this feedback from end users at the moment.

May be worth feeding this back to them if you haven't already.

I'd be popping into a high street store and testing out the demo models.

People seem to be undecided between a firmware or software issue. I would contact Sony directly to see if the phone needs to go back.

If a factory reset does not fix it, return it ASAP, faulty gpu or screen.
Not had this issue but have seen it reported.
You are within 28 days so a doorstep swap out or in store swap won't be an issue.

If it was firm or software it would be far far wider spread, points to one thing imo.
