How do I set a text tone that sounds but have notifications on silent and have the phone ring too

If you have JELLY BEAN os then you can use the BLOCK festure.

It lets you stop any sounds during a particular time span. When setting this feature, you can choose which features or numbers you want to ring.

If you set the phone to silent nothing will sound - What are you trying to do exactly?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
