I currently have a One plus 3t and I am thinking of putting a data sim. Would that work along side my regular sim card?

I am thinkin of purchasing an EE data sim card but I don't want to have to buy the dongle if I can use the Data sim in my phone. Seen as I have the extra space may as well use it.
