I don't have any details at the moment related specifically to this exploit but I will mention that we do treat security updates seriously and aim to have a quick turnaround when they are sent to us by the vendor

This is the reason why android delivers monthly updates.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

O2 release them as and when they can. I've not seen a difference. A few days maybe

Its upto the Manufacturer to create the security updates for their devices and push these to handsets so far one of the only manufacturers to commit to the monthly security cycles is Blackberry.

These are not the responsibilty of the network operator
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

I understand that they are the phone makers responsibility, but I was asking if they publish, do 02. Others have said that 02 do so for important bugs; so the questions are, is this important enough and if so when?

We couldn't answer that as just customers like yourself.
@Chris_K is the only one from o2 on here who would know.
