I reported my phone as lost and requested a new Sim but had nothing

How long since you requested the sim? 

If it's a while it's possibly not been ordered or it's lost in the post. Bear in mind Royal Mail doesn't work weekends but otherwise call them around 8-8.30 in the morning.
