Hi Facebook works fine on my pc but won't connect at all on my new Samsung j5 2017. Downloaded the latest app still no joy. Any ideas?

It’s a Facebook account issue then.

A number of people are having the same issue with FB on various types of Android devices (according to this Android Central link) You might want to scroll through the pages and see if there is a fix to be found

Many have got FB working by disabling power saving.. (though there are other suggestions)

Screenshots from both phone and tablet where the problem is sent to Facebook with full text of whet the problem is...so far no reponse.

Keep checking for an app update too as facebook tends to update their app quite frequently.
