Trying and failing to set up Wi Fi calling

Hi, I cannot work out why it is so complicated to set up WiFi calling on my new O2 account.  I was assured by Virgin and O2 that I had good O2 coverage, (unlike EE), in our house but I'm afraid we have a weak to no signal.   So we need Wi Fi calling.  I have spend a good part of the day serching my online O2 account, and various forums, and I am told I have to register with O2 for WiFi Calling, (unlike EE when I simply set it up on my phone), by logging into my O2 account online and changing my device settings.  How do I do this?  There seems no route to change my device settings. I am on a Virgin SIM card contact.   Should I just give up and go back to EE?

You state you have a Virgin SIM card contract but mention O2.

Is your SIM an actual O2 SIM. If so you will need to speak to O2 and get WiFi Calling turned on for your account and then you can control it from the My O2 app.

You can message O2 on

Facebook  (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) ,for help

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Had the same issue here. If you don't buy the phone from O2 then they don't offer WiFi calling. If you've taken a SIM only and are using a non O2 handset then that's your issue, even if it's unlocked.

Not true. Providing it is a make and model O2 sell then you should be OK.

My Central European S20+ is happily working on O2 wifi calling
