Hi all. Wanted to let you know about a scam that I've just fallen for. Guy rang me. Didn't watch the number and picked up. Caught me off guard. Talked about an o2 deal. Sounded good. Checked everything with him. Said he would send two texts. One was a warning and not to pick up the phone if it rang. He text me a code. All seemed well. The he apologised and said he sent the wrong email and for me to ignore it. Resent another confirming my order. He said to just send the other phone back. So I stupidly sent it to the address. Again it looked all proper! I actually rang O2 and explained because my tariff changed to the new phone. She wasn't very helpful. Just kept saying send the phone back. Didn't offer an address. I said the guy was ringing back and she said he'll deal with it! Of course the address he gave me was false. I am  now waiting for the fraud team to call me back so hope this can be sorted out. Please be careful guys. Thought you should know.

@LS5 It's always a good idea to never accept any kind of offers from a cold call. Too late for you as far as that's concerned. Apart from waiting for the fraud team to contact you, report it here:

@LS5

Also, if not done already, change your O2 password and security question as they have access to your account.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
