Returning a faulty device

Hi all,

I have recently upgraded my device and unfortunately my new phone was faulty and needs to be sent back for replacement. I have received my dispatch email from o2 so my new device will arrive tomorrow. I have been asked to return my faulty device to the courier and essentially "swap" them over. I have placed my old device into its original box with the charger and leaflets. However I assume I don't need to attach the sim that came or the sim packet as its needed for when my new phone arrives? Anybody able to confirm?

Thanks!
