Hi, which Xperia is it? And did you install anything just before it acted this way?
As a default, I would recommend:
Force a cache reset by holding vol up and power until you feel 3 vibrations, then power up and see if issue gone.
If not, I would then try booting into safe mode (which boots the phone with only basic vital apps loaded) and seeing if issue has gone, if it has you will need to delete recent app installs to see if one is affecting power (they normally wouldn't/shouldn't affect the power as that is a root system setting) if it still remains with the issue:
backing it up (if possible) using Xperia companion then perform a repair installation using Xperia companion, this should fix any software issues and if the problem persists I would recommend getting it looked at for a possible repair.
