Not receive text... With a twist

Hello,

get the easy bits out of the way 

iPhone 13 pro,

UK number

currently in Gibraltar 

can call out and receive calls

not a new phone nor new sim

i have tried changing networks 

network is Gibtel

I have a strange one, I’m not receiving text from banks and other verification messages,  however I am receiving text from friends and family, but ( here’s the twist) at a random moment I will get 30+ text messages that I miss all at once. Including miss calls texts.

can anyone shed abit of light on this for me please!

You'll need to contact O2 then. 

A spend cap has been known to interfere with 2fa texts and also having a wifi connection can too, but best to check your account settings with O2.

Ahh good old GibTel, famous for me seeing the main mast at the Data Centre be taken down in the middle of the day...  

It could be GibTels network if messages are coming through sporadically, as think I have seen this before in Gib.... 

Have you tried connecting to one of the Spanish Networks (if you are near to the border or down near Ocean Village or Waterport) try not to connect to the Moroccan networks
