The simple answer is no, not without paying off the rest of the contract.

O2, like all networks don't guarantee good reception in all areas and they write that into their terms and conditions.

What does https://status.o2.co.uk/ say?

Also, at home WiFi Calling should get you calls and text

https://status.o2.co.uk/

Also look at

<LI-PRODUCT title="Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?" id="Guide018"></LI-PRODUCT>

When my virgin contract expired, I took out a Volt agreement which included an O2 sim, but the O2 sim was under a seperate agreement with O2. Before this I was on a virgin mobile sim which was excellent, but virgin insisted I had to move to O2. Since this time, on O2, I have been having diabolical signal at home, both indoor and outdoor. I have a 5g mobile but even outside in my garden I can only get 2g/3g signal which is continually dropping out. Even when I am out and about, my phone will tell me there is 5g available, but mostly I cannot get onto the internet. Myself and my wife have in the past used giffgaff, and had exactly the same problems. I have now realised that O2 provides service to Giffgaff. There is the answer. I cannot go on like this. My question is, my O2 account is administered totally separately from my Virgin Volt account, so why can I not cancel O2 and replace it with EE or another provider. Virgin have forced me to move to a product that, in my area, is virtually unusable and I don't see how they can legally do this. I have now changed my virgin account, taking out a new 18 month contract, which is not linked to an O2 sim, it does not mention O2 at all. Surely I can cancel my contract under these circumstances. Can anyone advise me on this. Help!
