Already O2 customer with an extra 02 SIM card

I am already an O2 customer but have recently got Virgin Media Broadband. I got a Volt deal where I ended up with an extra O2 SIM card. Can I transfer my current O2 number onto the new O2 SIM card? I'm assuming that my new contract will be the new O2 Sim card contract, would I be able to change my tariff on the new O2 contract?

Provided your original O2 SIM is out of contract, yes you can. It's done by migrating the number across.
