Missed call / spam call

Hello, I received a missed call from my wife's number but she hadn't made the call. Could anyone offer an explanation as to why this might happen?

Spammers have been known to use a random mobile number to auto-call lots of people - see if your wife's phone gets calls from strangers saying "Hi, you called, I missed the call, what was it you wanted?" etc.

In a few days, the spam caller will pick a different number and use it.

I was a really called by a spammer who was using my phone number as his call-out number - very weird seeing your phone number calling your phone!

Not much you can do, and clearly blocking the number is not a wise option, @Farrier123
