      <title>Sony Xperia - Barred from all networks in OZ</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is there away round the fact that all Australia have barred Sony Xperia from their networks - would an O2 esim help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm currently in Oz and virtual assistant is useless can't access MyO2 as can't receive texts!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have checked Tesla / Optus and Vodafone all confirmed handsets are barred - 6 months ago they all switched off 3G affecting some of the frequencies&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help would be appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Depending on how the Australian network checks your phone, DSDS may be a way out, &lt;a href="https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/3320951"&gt;@Rawdinae&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;-&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* # * # 4636 # * # * menu &amp;gt; phone information menu&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;scroll down to "disable DSDS" and turn it off. then exit out of everything and restart your phone and it should allow 5G to work if available and possibly volte, which HOPEFULLY would solve your issue. Hope it works for you!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(From Reddit - YMMV!)&lt;/P&gt;</description>
