Could someone explain in simple (for dummies) terms what this means? Been waiting for my number to be ported over now and it’s been nearly 2 weeks!!

“Your port in is placed and was locked also for the date 01-Oct-2024, Now the original port order request that is placed is still stuck in processing due to which this request is not able to process •

Once the original order request shows as processed and completed the port in request will complete automatically •”

You need to call customer service

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this

or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

<LI-PRODUCT title="Guide: How to find help & contact O2" id="Guide058"></LI-PRODUCT>

<LI-PRODUCT title="Guide: Migration & porting into O2" id="Guide061"></LI-PRODUCT> #

That is what o2 customer support told me, I was just looking to see if anyone could explain what it means? I’m rubbish with technical things.

Technically, with a port you have to do very little. It should all be done network end.

When it happens your SIM on the old network will cease to work. At that point the port would be in process and we would advise switching the phone with the new SIM off and On. It may take a couple of goes before both calls and text transfer to the new SIM

Thanks, I lost signal with my old Sim / weeks ago so I’m assuming there is an issue on with the in between bit. Looks like I’ll just need to wait to see what happens! Not very convenient but oh well. Has anyone else had this issue and got it resolved?

O2 do seem to have problems porting numbers.

Suggest you contact the UK based Social Media Team. They are better than normal customer services

Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) ,

X Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
