Possible to Activate a UK sim whilst abroad?

Is it possible to activate a physical or E-sim card whilst in the Europe-zone ? Is connection to a UK cell tower necessary for activation? Currently in Switzerland, is it doable from my location?

There is no guarantee it will work from Switzerland.. All you can do is try..

You will need O2 to push an esim to your MyO2 and you would then need to be able to access your MyO2 to install it (not always possible without receiving a verification text).
