I called tech support yesterday morning with the same fault - apparently, there's a problem with the local cell mast and they are working on it. You can check on the status of the fault here: https://status.o2.co.uk/

If that comment is meant for @Catherine7, you need to tag her thus.

The possibility of a network fault is covered in the guides that @MI5 has referred to, but I am sure that @Catherine7 will want to fully explore that. 👍

@Oxonian Thanks, I am new to this board and stupidly assumed that hitting the "reply" button would direct my response to the right place, my phone has just come back on so hopefully @Catherine7 is back online too.
