sony l3 stopped ringing outloud and no sounds to indicate messages

Please can any one help me my phone has stopped ringing out loud and making noises when it receives messages so I keep missing calls, it has only happened over the last few days, I have checked that it is not on silent mode and also that the ring tone etc is high volume but it still wont ring out loud. When I adjust the ring volume it plays my ringtone then but not when I have an incoming call.

Hi,

Have you possibly turned on do not disturb by mistake, if you drag the notification bar down from the top with 2 fingers you will be able to see if do not disturb has been activated.

Thanks for that but unfortunately I had not done that, I checked that and the volume settings but all set up correctly, most irritating when you can't hear someone ringing you.

Have you tried to reboot the phone by completing a soft reboot?
