Reactivate SIM card not used for a while

I need to reactivate an old SIM card I have not used for a while. The reason is I need access to an online account which I cannot do as the phone keeps displaying the message 'sim card registration failed' and the only way to gain access to this account is by the SIM card telephone number.

If the SIM card has been inactive for more than about 6 months, chances are it is not going to be possible, @M_B - I'll tag the O2 Advisor on until 6pm, just to confirm if the number that was associated with the SIM is still available and to discuss what your options are. Good luck!
