Not Receiving Calls only voicemails

Any incoming calls are going straight to voicemail. My wife has a TESCO phone which has the same problem - I understand the TESCO system uses the O2 network. Tried phoning my mobile from my landline and out of 5 calls only got through one all other calls direct to voicemail. Signal strength 4/5 bars. Any suggestions?

Problem was gone the following morning - cause unknown.

I get this issue too. And I can't even check my voicemails as O2 says I have no credit. I have talked to tech team and told them about the signal issues but they just deny it and say that the signal is fine in my area.... It is not
