Multiple duplicate texts being received

Hello gang,

I have a nokia G20 running on android one version 12.

Available Software and security are up to date. The issue is I am getting multiple duplicate texts from some numbers who have recently texted me. The other day I got 27 duplicate texts from my friends phone at varying times of the day and night.

This has been going on for a few months. I visited my local O2 store and they were baffled by this but renewed my sim as a precaution. It failed to remedy the fault.

Following another store visit today they suggested contacting customer service.

I thought first off, I would post the question here.

I should add that the duplicate texts come from various providers including O2 and at random times. I have whats-app installed also.

While in UK its at no cost to me apart from inconvenience, but if I was away from uk these duplicates could be costing me.

Any ideas or suggestions please ?
