No receiving sms after upgrade to 5G sim

Hi, not able to receive SMS till the swap to 5g SIM card. Tried everything, network reset, phone reset called operator at o2, swapped the SIM into other phones with same issue. At present is still verifying my number in the chat feature, tried also disabling the chat.... Nothing...

I am waiting a call back from the technical team but could take up to 5 days...already 3 days with no access to banking due to OTP verification issue... If not fixed I may to change operator?
Any idea how to fix this bug?

If you turn of Google Chat does it send plain SMS? If so the O2 side of things is working.

I've found with Chat turning it of for a while and then entering the number with the leading 0 (even though it shows a +44) works

So is this RCS in an Android Phone..

Go into the Phone Settings and turn it off, as you don't need it on to receive SMS, and your only options when it gets stuck is to try a full factory reset, once you have backed up the phone.

Have a look at the link below, to disable RCS / Chat on Android

If those tips dont work, then a factory reset or contact Google

Hi, yes it does and I have changed the SIM withmy wife O2 and receive SMS fine, therefore the phone is fine they are mentioning "porting" problems with o2

It does send but do not receive them, all OTP of the app are not received. It seems that is a porting issue but I will try your suggestion

Google Chat is off I can send SMS but not receiving it at all, tried to to 0 and still not working. Inserted my wife O2 SIM in my phone and is sending and receiving SMS fine without problems

I am appalled about the service that I am receiving, an email message saying that someone has tried to contact me via phone from tech team, when I have no missed call whatsoever... You can check on my phone lineI think the only way to solve this is to ask for the PAC and move reluctantly from O2
