SIM not working in new 4G router tp-link AC1200 Archer MR600

I bought a new unlimitted data SIM for my 4G router - model tp-link AC1200 Archer MR600. The sim works fine in a phone but will not get a data connection for the internet in the router. Somebody posted a similar question and reply said it was a problem with APN settings but for a different make. Any help very gratefully received. Thanks

You can only use a data only sim in a router.

O2 will block phone sims from working.

You can try the apn settings but I doubt it will work for long.
