I purchased a pair of AirPods pro 2 for a Christmas present - which I paid £239 for. My understanding was that for that price they were AirPods pro2 however when she has opened them you have only sent AirPods pro.

On 02's website AirPods Pro (1st Gen) are £239 & AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) are £249 so it looks like you have purchased 1st Gen @ £239. Hopefully your still within the return period if you want to reorder 2nd Gen AirPods.
