I have been trying to set myself up with the Parisian 'Navigo' system for public transport (buying tickets in advanc). I have downloaded the apps, but I get a message to say my phone (Samsung A12) is not compatible, even though. I have enabled 'NFC and Contactless Payments'. This is a relatively new phone, so I'm surprised. Further research suggests it might be the SIM that is the problem. This was brought forward from my previous phone. It has a classic PayG tariff. If it is the SIM is there anything I can do about it? I do not want to lose the tariff.

Tim Dawson

Thank you. I had wondered about that, of course, but thought it might give that reason rather than just 'incompatible. I shall have to hope all will come right when I'm in France in ten day's time. If it doesn't it will be too late to do anything about it.
