Just joined O2. Already hit hurdle trying to register online.

When trying to set up my online account I provided the phone number I had gven to the sales person earlier today. Online system returns an error saying this number belongs to another account. What is the reason for this? So annyoying to hit a glitch within an hour of moving from Vodafone!

If its a new account it can take a couple of days to recognise the number and update the system. Try again or call customer service

Have you been able to setup your online account since you last posted or do you need some more help? There's some good advice above already but it'd be great to hear how you're getting on
