iphone screen broken - can I get this fixed under warranty with O2?

My Iphone screen cracked in the most ridiculous way, I didnt drop it or do anything wrong, I simply had it in my hand as I was opening a door and the doorhandle pressed on the iphone screen and broke the glass - it even had a screen protector on it. I got my iphone with O2 on the 8th February, can I get my screen fixed with O2 for free or at a reduced price?!

You can send it in to O2 for a quote but I doubt it would be at a rduced cost.

Prices for screen repairs from Apple here and O2 would be very similar.

is there not a year or 2 year warranty or agreement of some kind where they would fix your screen for free?
