Sim not working

I have purchased an iPhone 7 Plus which is supposed to be unlocked. Looking at the settings it appears to be locked to o2 however my o2 sim currently used in iPhone 8 says it needs activating in the 7 plus but then tells me this can’t be done. Can anyone offer any advice please?

Where did you purchase the iPhone? Was it eBay by any chance?

IMEI all checks out ok.
Says sim not supported under activation policy?

@Honda71 you could try connecting the phone to iTunes but I'd also check Voda and EE SIM cards as it may be locked to one of them.

I would also get in touch with the seller as the phone was sold as unlocked. Whcih it clearly isn't.

This would be one of the first things I would do personally...
