Unable to Buy Extra Texts

I bought an iPhone 6s from mobiles.co.uk last month (£310 upfront) on the O2 500 24M 500MB tariff (500 minutes, 500 texts, 500 MB data for £15/month). I could do with some extra texts but the only other tariffs I can switch to are all 500 texts with extra data, so none provide any more than 500 texts.

There's no option for any text Bolt Ons, so I can't add any extra texts, just pay 35p per text if/when I go over 500 per month.

Anything else I can do to add or increase the text allowance (other than use email instead)?

You could use iMessage or WhatsApp but have you tried calling customer service on 202 to see if they can do anything for you?

That's an expensive tariff for such low allowances. Call 202 to see what your options are.

For instance I'm on 8GB + unlimited texts + unlimited minutes for £16/month. OK it's sim only but I'm sure there will be more suitable tariffs for you.

I am using Pay As You Go and under you O2 account: Bolt Ons > Add Bolt Ons I found Messaging 400 but, I am not sure if this is what you were looking for

Assuming the 400 means 400 texts, it works out to 3p per message...

You can generally get unlimited texts for next to nothing though these days.

Expensive on top of an existing tariff. Personally I would be upgrading my tariff for unlimited.
